catch up

Been quite a while since I've gotten round to posting. Been busy preparing for our opera excerpts. The first one is tomorrow...Falstaff...think its going well but is completely ensemble so have to have full concentration or run the risk of missing a line. Its quite funny and the costumes are fabulous! I have been accepted into the London masterclasses at the RAM with Philip Langridge. Quite excited and am busy learning rep to take to him in London. Its the first week of July so its non stop for a while.

Final Recital

Phew!After weeks of hard work finally did my final recital yesterday. Went ok I think. Was a little bit more nervous then I would like to have been and the first song suffered a bit but settled in after that and the rest of the recital went off if not perfectly as least convincingly. Will have to see what the panel thought. Was great to have my parents there. My friends were so supportive, bless them and comments was that it was good and everyone loved the Heggie second half. Now I've done it once wish I could do it again. Was my first full length recital and am quite proud of myself for doing it when I could have simply done it next year and skipped the stress and anxiety.
