Some of the Ireland photos

The scenery was gorgeous! We had a lovely time.
Most of the photos are with a friend so will have to chase her for 'em.
Now have another week of vacation before term starts. Aim to try and memorize at least 1/2 my final recital rep by then. The exam dates are out and mine is on the 31st May. Excerpts start the next week so its gonna be exciting.

Its Easter today and we had a lovely service with the kids putting up a special item. Everywhere is closed till tue but my trusty little minimart next to our hostel was open so went over to do some last minute shopping to feed myself over the next two days. Becoming a bit of a tv addict.Loads of great Easter specials on. Just saw the movie version of Jesus Christ Superstar. Great! although they stopped at the crucifixion...missed out the whole point of the Easter story..Bah!

Ireland

What a lovely country. The scenery is beautiful and such a rich sense of history. Am travelling with an Irish friend Ann and two other friends from college. We were in Dublin yesterday. A lovely city with a great cafe culture and tons of cool interesting little shops. We spent the night in Birr with Ann's family. Ate far too much :) Such a warm and lovely family. Today we're off to Galway and then onwards to Clare the next day. Its cold but so far we've had lovely sunny weather. Long may it last. So nice to be in the fresh air and sunshine away from the city. Nothing quite like a drive holiday to see a country.

Holiday...

Looking forward to the trip to Ireland tomorrow:) We'll be flying into Dublin on Monday morning and then going to Clare, Galway over the next four days.

The excerpts listing came out yesterday. I'm singing Dorabella's aria Smanie implacabili in Cosi fan tutte and singing the role of Meg in Act 2 of Verdi's Falstaff.Together with Mrs Lovett in SweeneyyToddd I'm now singing in 3 excerpts all around the time of my recital on the 31st May! Plenty of work ahead now...but its what I wanted so really can't complain.
